Timestamping application TeRa

 The timestamping application is created for eID (ID-card, Digi-ID, e-residency ID, etc) holders by The Information System Authority.
TeRa application adds timestamps your digitally signed DDOC. Timestamped files will have a .asics extension and will be placed in the same folder with the original DDOC files.
TeRa has a graphic user interface and a command line tool.

TeRa timestamping application download and install

To download TeRa timestamping application, please visit:

Windows:
Download the latest version of TeRa .msi file from Github.
Run the installer and please follow the instructions on screen.

Mac OS X:
Download the latest versioon of TeRa from Apple Appstore.

Linux:
Download the latest version ZIP file from Github or complile the application from source code.

Using the application

The user interface consists of the following parts:
Settings - options to set and limit the search folders
Help - link to helpful information
English - language options
Start - starts searching for .ddoc files and timestamping

Before the timestamping can begin, You need to connect Your ID-card to Your computer to authenticate Yourself.

During the process You will see a progress bar. Searching for files and timestamping process duration depends on the number of DDOC files. Do not close the application while the progress bar is visible.
To cancel the process, click Cancel.

When the application has finished its work, it will show the number of DDOC files found and converted. To open the log file and see more information, click HERE.

Setting up the user interface

To change the language click the arrow next to the language name and choose the most suitable language: estonian/english/russian.
For further setup, click Settings.

Input options view lets you set the folders for searching for DDOC files.
To add a folder, press "..." and choose the folder or write the folder location to the input box and click Add. To remove a folder, make the folder active in the list and click Delete.

Exclude options lets you choose folders to ignore while searching for DDOC files.
To add a folder, press "..." and choose the folder or write the folder location to the input box and click Add. To remove a folder, make the folder active in the list and click Delete.

Other options view has the following options:

  • show or do not show the introduction
  • show or do not show the file list preview
  • set the time-stamping service address
