How to launch ID-card utility in Windows, Linux and Mac OS X?

Running the application in Windows 

 During the process of installation of the ID card software in Windows operating systems a shortcut is created on the desktop (where another option was not selected during installation).

In order to open the ID card administration tool double-click the ID card administration tool’s icon on the desktop. 

 If there is no such icon on the desktop, the shortcut is usually also found in the Start menu.

Windows 10 users will find the ID card administration tool in the Start menu: Under the Start menu select All apps and find the folder named “ID-kaart” (“ID card”). Launch the program from this folder.

 Windows 7 users will find the ID card administration tool in the Start menu: Under the Start menu select All Programs and find the folder named “ID-kaart” (“ID card”). Launch the program from this folder.

Windows 7 ja Vista

 Windows 8, 8.1 users will find the ID card administration tool’s icon in Metro view that replaces the classic Windows Start menu. To open Metro, from the Desktop view press Windows key on the keyboard or move your mouse cursor to the bottom left corner and click on the icon that appears. Where there is no shortcut in Metro view, type a keyword ID or ID-kaardi (you may type immediately without giving any further commands).

The ID card administration tool’s icon will be displayed. Click on it to run the application. 

Windows 8

Running the application in Mac OS X

 In Mac OS X shortcut is placed in the Applications folder. To run the application click on the ID card administration tool’s icon (ID-card Utility).

You may also use Spotlight search tool in the top right corner and type keywords ID or ID-card.

Running the application in Linux

Depending on the Linux distribution, the ID card administration tool’s icon (ID-card Utility) may appear in different places. The best way is to use the system search tool that is available in all distributions. Type keywords ID or ID-card in your search.

Example: Ubuntu, version 14.04 LTS

In the top left corner of the screen there is a system search icon (Dash home). Click on it and type the keyword ID. Click on the icon to run the application
