You will receive the ‘No card found' error message in the ID-card utility if:
a) There is no card in the card reader
b) ID-card is not correctly in the card reader
c) There is a damaged ID-card in the card reader.
d) Card reader can not read the ID-card for some reason
1. If there was no card in the card reader then insert ID-card in the reader and error message will disappear.
2. If there is a card in the card reader but you still get the error message, then check if the card is correctly inserted in the reader.
ID-cards issued before 2011 have to be inserted with chip hidden in the card reader and picture facing up. ID-cards issued on and after 2011 should be inserted with chip inside the reader and picture facing down.
3. If the ID-card is correctly in the card reader and you still get the error message then check if your ID-card works with some other card reader or in some other previously configured computer with other card reader.
If you get the error message even with other card readers or in another computer then your ID-card is possibly damaged and you should contact nearest service point of Police and Border Guard Board.
4. If your ID-card works with other card reader or in another computer then you probably have a faulty card reader and it should be replaced.
