DigiDoc3 client error when opening a container: An error occurred while opening the document

If DigiDoc3 client displays an error "An error occurred while opening the document" when opening a document and details show the following info, then your computer has an older version of ID-software installed which does not support BDOC signature format. 

To be able to open and sign documents in BDOC format you need to install DigiDoc3 client software version 3.8 or newer. 

ID-software can be renewed at installer.id.ee. Mac OS X users can find the newest DigiDoc3 client in App Store-st.

ID-software version number can be checked in DigiDoc3 client program by pressing the "Info" button.
