- RIA released new ID-card software version for Windows operating system
RIA released today new ID-card software version 19.12.0 for Windows operating system, which solved a problem with ID-card usage in the latest Mozilla Firefox version (version 71).
- Changes in the Time-Stamping Service certificate
On January 2, 2020, an important change will be implemented in the SK Time-Stamping Service, which will affect all SK Time-Stamping Service users.
- IIS web server works with certificates issued from EE-GovCA2018 chain (updated 15.11.2019)
Today Microsoft released updates to its version of Windows Server, where certificates issued from the EE-GovCA2018 chain are working as expected and the IIS web server issue is resolved. The versions that were updated are Windows Server 2019, 2016 and 1903.

RIA updated todays its ID card software (ver. 19.10), which also included a new version of the software signing certificate for the Windows operating system. Due to the new certificate, the following message may be displayed to the user when launching the ID card software installation package:
- SK ID Solutions announces: The DigiDocService service will be shut down in 2020
SK ID Solutions will stop offering its DigiDocService web service from October 2020. This change will affect all e-services that allow for the use of Mobile-ID or use the DigiDocService web service for actions related to using the ID-card.
- The Information System Authority will adopt Smart-ID for state services
Earlier this week, the Information System Authority (RIA) and the Smart-ID solution provider SK ID Solutions (SK) signed a contract that will allow Smart-ID to be used as an authentication tool to access state e-services.
- Changes in the verification of the validity of digital signatures in the List of Trusted Lists and their influences on e-services
Due to the changes in the address and file name of the List of Trusted Lists (LOTL), e-service providers as well as users of digidoc-tool, the C++ library libdigidocpp, and DigiDoc4j will have to make changes to ensure that the service would continue to be able to verify the validity of signatures, or take into consideration the implications of not doing so.

The Information System Authority (RIA) presented their suggestions to SK ID Solutions (SK), the provider of the Smart-ID service, for how to better prevent the creation of Smart-ID accounts by criminals. Many Smart-ID accounts have been created for people without their knowledge and people have also lost funds in some occasions.
