- RIA released new ID-card software version for Windows operating system
RIA released today new ID-card software version 19.12.0 for Windows operating system, which solved a problem with ID-card usage in the latest Mozilla Firefox version (version 71).
- Changes in the Time-Stamping Service certificate
On January 2, 2020, an important change will be implemented in the SK Time-Stamping Service, which will affect all SK Time-Stamping Service users.
- IIS web server works with certificates issued from EE-GovCA2018 chain (updated 15.11.2019)
Today Microsoft released updates to its version of Windows Server, where certificates issued from the EE-GovCA2018 chain are working as expected and the IIS web server issue is resolved. The versions that were updated are Windows Server 2019, 2016 and 1903.
- The Information System Authority will adopt Smart-ID for state services
Earlier this week, the Information System Authority (RIA) and the Smart-ID solution provider SK ID Solutions (SK) signed a contract that will allow Smart-ID to be used as an authentication tool to access state e-services.
- Mobile-ID users must update their ID-card software
As of 5 June, the ID-card software DigiDoc4 can be used to sign documents with Mobile-ID only if the user has updated the software.
- Changes in the Time-Stamping Service certificate
On April 1, 2019, an important change will be implemented in the SK Time-Stamping Service which will affect all SK Time-Stamping Service users.
- The ID card helpline number will be changed on Sunday
On 1 July, Tieto Estonia AS will be the new provider of ID card support service. The new helpline number is +372 666 8888, and regular landline call rates will apply. Your calls will be answered on working days from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Check whether your ID-card is affected by the security risk
This inquiry enables inspecting whether your card is affected by the security risk:
- The PBGB will replace nearly 12,500 ID-cards which do not meet the security requirements
- The majority of electronically used ID-cards were renewed
494,000 ID-cards with a security risk, i.e. 95% of electronically used cards, were renewed by the end of March. As at 1 April, the certificates of almost 300,000 cards were revoked. The cards will still be valid as identity and travel documents until the date marked on the card.
