Select Certificate dialogue window doesn't have the necessary certificate for digital signing in e-services

Windows users may reach the following error when digital signing in Internet Explorer with digi-ID, ID-card or residence card:

Digital signing is unsuccessful because the certificates of the document in the card reader have not been properly registered. 

Solution for the issue:

  • Close all browser windows;
  • Make sure that ID-card (or whatever document you are using) is in the card reader and run DigiDoc4 client;
  • Wait until DigiDoc4 client has identified the document in the card reader. 

When document data was successfully read then close the DigiDoc4 client and again try to digitally sign in your e-service.
