If the update fails and DigiDoc4 client does not show that the card is in the reader

If the Digi-ID card has an update in progress (and a PIN is locked), DigiDoc4 indicates that the card is not in the reader (although a yellow bar is shown to allow the card to be updated).

In this case, you should try to update the card certificates. If new pins have been given in a broken update, then they must be used.

If the card is locked then you should contact the Police and Border Guard Board (ppa@politsei.ee).
