When ID-software is installed, an access certificate is also installed on your computer, giving you access to the SK ID Solutions AS (SK) validity confirmation service. The validity confirmation service adds an electronic notation automatically to the digital signatures, defining the time at which the signature was given and showing that the certificate used for giving the signature was valid at that moment.
As a user, you do not need to do anything extra to obtain or use the access certificate. The entire process takes place automatically in the course of giving the digital signature, and the access certificate is likewise automatically installed on your computer when you install the ID-software.
IP-based access:
You do not need the access certificate if the network from which the validity confirmation query is executed has IP-based access to the SK validity confirmation service. SK’s contractual clients have IP-based access.
