Avast AntiVirus users can't enter e-services with ID-card (Windows & Mac OS X)

If you have Avast AntiVirus installed in your computer and you cant enter e-services then you should make sure that the "Enable HTTPS scanning" software setting is not active.

If your computer is running on Windows operating system, then follow these steps:

  •  Run avast by doubleclicking on it's icon on system tray;

  • From there click "Settings";

  • Now select "Components", find "Web Shield" and next to it click on "Customize";

  • remove tick from "Enable HTTPS scanning" 

Now you should be able to enter e-services with ID-card again.

If your computer is running on Mac OS X, then follow these steps:

  • Run Avast by clicking its icon topright and choose "Open Avast"

  • Click on "Preferences" and another window opens; 

  • At this point navigate to  "Web Shield" and click on "Settings" next to it;

  • Remove tick from option "Scan secured connections" and click on "Done";

Now your Avast is configured properly in order to use eID cards.
