If you use a notebook with an embedded 3G modem and ID software version 3.12.2 or 3.12.3_ you may see the following message displayed in the ID card utility:
It is an ID software bug that will be fixed in version 3.12.4.
If your ID card PIN codes are not blocked and/or you don't need to change them, you can simply ignore this message. The message "Reading data" has no impact on using the ID card in e-services and DigiDoc3 Client.
If you need to unblock one of the PIN codes, here are the temporary solution steps that you can follow until version 3.12.4 is released:
- open Device Manager
- find and open the Modems group
- right-click on the displayed device and select Disable, see the screenshot.
- open the ID card utility and unblock/change the PIN code.
After you have completed all necessary operations in the ID card utility and want to continue using the 3G modem:
- open Device Manager
- find and open the Modems group
- right-click on the displayed device and select Enable
