How to launch DigiDoc4 client in Windows, Linux and macOS?

Running the application in Windows
During the process of installation of the ID card software in Windows operating systems a shortcut is created on the desktop (where another option was not selected during installation).

In order to open the DigiDoc4 Client double-click the DigiDoc4 Client icon on the desktop.

 

If there is no such icon on the desktop, the shortcut is usually also found in the Start menu.

Windows 10 users will find the DigiDoc4 Client in the Start menu: Under the Start menu select All apps and find the folder named “ID-kaart” (“ID card”). Launch the program from this folder.

Windows 7 users will find the DigiDoc4 Client in the Start menu: Under the Start menu select All Programs and find the folder named “ID-kaart” (“ID card”). Launch the program from this folder.

Windows 8, 8.1 users will find the DigiDoc4 Client icon in Metro view that replaces the classic Windows Start menu. To open Metro, from the Desktop view press Windows key on the keyboard or move your mouse cursor to the bottom left corner and click on the icon that appears. Where there is no shortcut in Metro view, type a keyword ID or ID-kaardi (you may type immediately without giving any further commands).

The DigiDoc4 Client icon will be displayed. Click on it to run the application.

Running the application in Mac OS X 

In Mac OS X shortcut is placed in the Applications folder. To run the application click on the DigiDoc4 Client icon (DigiDoc4 klient).

You may also use Spotlight search tool in the top right corner and type keywords digidoc

Running the application in Linux 

Depending on the Linux distribution, the DigiDoc4 Client icon may appear in different places. The best way is to use the system search tool that is available in all distributions. Type keywords ID or Digidoc in your search.
