With the DigiDoc4 Client application included in the ID software, digital signing with a test ID-card, mobile-ID and Smart-ID fails, and when validating signatures given with test certificates, the status "Signature is unknown" is displayed as a result.
In order for digital signing with a test ID-card, mobile-ID and Smart-ID and validation of test signatures to be successful in the DigiDoc4 client, it is necessary to use the beta version of the DigiDoc4 Client, which is configured for test services.
The beta version of the DigiDoc4 Client can be downloaded here:
- For the Windows operating system – https://installer.id.ee/media/id2019/Windows/
- For the macOS operating system – https://installer.id.ee/media/id2019/macOS/
- For the Linux operating system – https://installer.id.ee/media/id2019/Ubuntu/
If desired, it is also possible to use the digidoc-tool.exe command line program, located in the installation directory of the DigiDoc4 Client, for digital signing with a test ID-card and for validating test signatures. Instructions on how to use the command line program to create and validate test signatures can be found here: https://github.com/open-eid/libdigidocpp/wiki/Using-test-TSL-lists#digidoc-toolexe-utility-program
