Introduction

An ID-card is a compulsory identity document issued by the Police and Border Guard Board to all Estonian citizens and the citizens of the European Union permanently residing in Estonia. But did you know that you can order a digital ID-card and use it together with your regular ID-card? Or that all ID-card user instructions are also suitable for the electronic use of the residence permit card, e-resident’s digital ID, diplomatic card, etc.?
