The Information System Authority (RIA) has completed the new version 3.0.1 of RIA DigiDoc for iOS devices. This is a generational update – the application is based on a modern technology platform, while retaining the existing core functionalities and business logic of the application.
A similar technological update was rolled out for the Android mobile app in 2025, and the update is now available for iOS devices as well. The new DigiDoc will be available to users via the App Store within a week.
The core components of the application have been redesigned to provide a more reliable, secure, intuitive, and user-friendly solution for signing and encrypting documents.
In addition to the new platform and changes to the core components of the application, version 3.0.1 of RIA DigiDoc for iOS features an improved user interface and architecture, as well as the addition of NFC functionality for decrypting envelopes and managing My eID. The application now supports iOS 26, and no longer supports iOS 16 and 17. More information can be found on the id.ee website.
RIA recommends always keeping the mobile application up to date by enabling automatic updates for the application on your smartphone. Information about updates to the RIA DigiDoc mobile applications can be found on the id.ee website, and we recommend subscribing to the newsletter to stay up to date with ID software news.
