Today, on 13 May, the Information System Authority (RIA) launched the updated version 26.4 of the ID software. This is a routine update designed to ensure the reliability, security, and a better user experience of the software. RIA would also like to remind that support for Windows 10 in the ID software will be discontinued from this autumn.
The ID software is continuously being developed to ensure the smooth and secure operation of services. Regular updates help to reduce failures and improve the user experience. The new version of the ID software can be downloaded from the website id.ee.
Key updates and changes to the ID software version 26.4:
- support for Ubuntu 25.10 and Windows ARM has been added
- support for Ubuntu 25.04 and macOS 13 has been removed
- the user interface and texts for the DigiDoc4 and Web eID applications were updated
- support for encrypting and decrypting documents in CDOC2 format has been updated
- base libraries used in the ID software were updated
