Today, 20 August, the Information System Authority (RIA) released a new version 25.8 of the ID-software to ensure the functioning of the systems and to upgrade security features. All users are advised to update their ID-software to the latest version, available at id.ee.
According to Anna Õuekallas, Head of the Electronic Identity Department, reliability, security, and user satisfaction are of utmost importance when providing public services. ‘As technology evolves, we also need to regularly upgrade and improve our products and services. This way, we ensure confidence in the security of operations and a pleasant user experience,’ said Õuekallas.
Key updates and changes to the ID-software version 25.8:
- improved validation of digital signatures
- base libraries used in the ID-software were updated
The new version of the ID-software can be downloaded from the website id.ee.
