Problem: mini-PC switches off ID-card reader to save power

If the computer switches off the ID-card reader to save power, then do the following:

  1. Open "Device Manager".
  2. Select "Smart card readers".
  3. Open the reader’s properties.
  4. Select "Power management".
  5. Remove the checkmark from “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
  6. Confirm by pressing OK.
