Show Hide With the DigiDoc4 Client you can generate and save a libdigidocpp library and DigiDoc4 client log file.
By default, log files generation is disabled in the DigiDoc4 Client. To generate a log files, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the DigiDoc4 Client settings
Open the DigiDoc4 Client and its "Settings" in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Open Diagnostics
In the left vertical menu, select Diagnostics. Open it.
Step 3: Activate log file generation
To generate a log files, select the "Enable one-time log generation" option.
After selecting “Enable one-time log generation”, you will be notified that you need to restart the DigiDoc4 Client to generate or compile a log file.In Windows and Ubuntu operating systems, the "Yes" button must be pressed to restart the DigiDoc4 Client.For Windows and Ubuntu, the notification window looks like this:
In the macOS operating system, the DigiDoc4 Client must be closed and reopened.For macOS, the notification window looks like this:
Step 4: Repeat the usual steps
Then try again with the same operation that failed before.
Step 5: Save the log file
To save the log files, click the "Save Log File" button at the bottom of the diagnostic window. Choose a well-located location on your computer (for example Desktop) for the log files. There are 2 log files and they are saved in .txt format.

By default, log file generation is disabled in the RIA DigiDoc. To generate a log file, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the RIA DigiDoc settings
Open the RIA DigiDoc and its "three dots" in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Open Diagnostics
In the left vertical menu, select "DIAGNOSTICS".
Step 3: Activate log file generation
To generate a log file, scroll down and select the "Enable one-time log generation" option.
After selecting “Enable one-time log generation”, you will be notified that you need to restart the RIA DigiDoc to generate or compile a log file.
To restart the RIA DigiDoc press "YES".
Step 4: Repeat the usual steps
Then try again with the same operation that failed before.
Step 5: Save the log file
To save the log file, click the "Save Log" button at the bottom of the diagnostic window.
Press "SAVE LOG"
