Browser message “Managed by your organization”

When the ID software is installed, the personal identification and signature module (Web eID) is added to the Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers, which is automatically activated. In this regard, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge display the notification "Managed by your organization" under the browser settings.

This message comes from the fact that the authentication and signing module is activated automatically with separate rules, and the user does not have to manually enable the module again after each update.

Step 1: Remove the ID software

The ID software must be removed first. To do this, go to Control Panel → Programs and Features → eID software → Change → Uninstall all

Step 2: Open and close the Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge web browser

Open Chrome / Edge and close it again: with this seemingly "empty" gesture, Chrome / Edge will remove this extension from its settings. If Chrome / Edge is not opened and closed again after removing the ID software, the extension will still remain activated.

    Step 3: Install the ID-software

Download and reinstall the latest version of the ID software on your computer. During installation, immediately open "Customize" at the first "Welcome!" step.

Step 4: Remove automatic activation of authentication and signing support

    • Google Chrome users - Under the options, remove the checkmark from "Chrome extension will be activated automatically", save the preference by clicking "OK" button first, and then continue the installation by clicking "Next" button.
    • Microsoft Edge users - Under the options, uncheck "Edge extension will be automatically activated", save the preference by clicking "OK" first, and then continue the installation by clicking "Next".

Step 5: Delete the following keys from the Windows registry

Enter a command prompt (cmd) search query in the taskbar search field and right-click or long-press Command Prompt or cmd (desktop application) from the list of results. Select Run as administrator, and then select Yes.

Type or paste all these necessary commands one by one into Terminal and press Enter, wait for each command to complete before running the next command. If you get an error message about a command, ignore it and continue with the next command.
