Operating systems supported in different ID-software versions

Different ID-software versions always support specific operating systems because under those operating systems the software has been tested and is guaranteed to work. The choice of supported operating systems is made in cooperation between software owner (Estonian Information System's Authority) and developer. These choices depend on software user base and operating system manufacturer support cycle.

It is important to always use the newest software version. It is possible that the usage and functionality of older versions will be restricted.

 Legend for the table:

  • X - is supported in that software version
  • ** - is not supported, but is occasionally tested and in which it is known to run well
  • S - source code is available (tarball) for Linux distributions
  • ? - support has not been decided for that software version
